This
means that following Jesus affects all areas of life: how
time and money are spent, and how we take care of the people and
environment around us and on the other side of the world. We
don’t always agree on exactly how this pans out, but we commit
to praying for and encouraging each other as we discover God’s
leading.
In fact, there are
some things in the Bible that really make us scratch our heads. But
one thing that we are sure of is found in the book of John, third
chapter verses 16 and 17. It reads: “For God
so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone
who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life. Indeed,
God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but
in order that the world might be saved through Him.” (That
comes from the New Revised Standard Version of the Bible.)
To us, who desires to be the fulfillment
of relationship with all people. With grace and forgiveness,
Jesus pursues us to bring us into an intimate relationship with
God.
, without favoritism, and invites us all
to a common ground at the foot of the cross. There, Jesus
invites us to transformationally grow into the people he created
us to be.
with us to celebrate life and to walk with us
in our suffering and pain. He wants to lead us to find meaning
in all of life’s experiences. |
